About

The history of the Renault Car Club of Australia is that it’s one of the longest running car clubs in Australia and is said to be the first Renault enthusiast club in the world!

The club was established by a small group of Renault owners in 1951 who took their little Renault 4VCs (750’s) on social outings all over NSW. In 2011 the club celebrate it’s 60th year and continues to cater for people interested in Renault’s, both old and new. The club is based in Sydney Australia and has over 100 members with Renault cars dating back to the 40′ & 50’s right up to the latest RenaultSport vehicles.

Socially the Renault Car Club of Australia activities include a range of social club events such as weekend picnic drives, observation and navigation trials, Bastille Day (All French Car Day), we also participate in the Australia Day MotorFest, Shannons Sydney Classic, CMC National Day of Historic Motoring and other Concourse D’elegance events. Other activities include film and bowling nights, track days and visits to other places of interest. If you’re restoring your old Renault or tinkering with it somehow then someone has probably done it before! There is a wealth of information in the Renault Car Club of Australia. The Club can probably help you with parts location, literature (through our extensive library), friendly advise and can direct you to experts if the going gets tough.

When it comes to motorsport the RCCA  members compete successfully in various forms of motorsport, ranging from the classic Targa Tasmania and similar rallies, to Motorkhana and Khanacross events. These events offer novice and experienced drivers alike, an opportunity to develop their car control skills, and to test their vehicles capabilities in a safe, controlled and friendly environment. Our magazine ‘The Hub’ is published 6 times a year and will keep you in touch with all the latest news, views and notice of upcoming events. The Renault Car Club of Australia is also affiliated with the Motorsport Australia (CAMS) and the Council of Motor Clubs (CMC), and by coming a member you can also take advantage of what both of these organisations have to offer.
